Spring is quite literally my favorite time of the year! It is a time for me to restore, regroup, and grow. The budding of plants and the roots finding their foundations in the soil provide the perfect reminder for what I, too, should be doing during this season. I take the opportunity to look at the past year, where I am at now, and how I want to "grow" in the future months. I spring clean what is cluttering up my schedule, energy, and space and create room for new and exciting growth moments. Spring allows the time for me to breathe; inhale the freshness of ideas with clarity and exhale the little nuances of the past months that had proven to be unproductive. It provides me with an overarching theme of replenishment and growth and this is a theme I can fully connect with and appreciate every second of every day! Spring is the easiest time of year for me to remember how beautiful life is and how blessed we are to have growth moments!
With the rain showers, overcast days, and the glimpses of sunshine in between; I also find myself calmly creative during the spring months. I want to spend my days sipping coffee as the rain begins to fall, lighting candles and opening up the windows to let the fresh air in, and spending as much time as possible in the studio creating with the colors of the season. My work directly reflects what this season means for me- minimalist lines and structure, hues of grey to green, and glossy textures are prevalent in a great deal of my work during this seasonal transition. I can't wait to show you a few of the pieces I have been working on!
The first day of spring is a day I always look forward to and embrace 100%! I am so excited to nourish my springtime mentality and all that this means for my growth.
How does spring impact your work or your life moments? I would love to hear what you love (or don't love) about this time of year!
