Growing up (as well as today), I was immersed in the artistic community. At the age of three, my parents enrolled me into ballet, which grew into an entire portfolio of various extensions of dance. In high school, I went on to attend dance intensives in the Midwest and Pacific Northwest areas for a few weeks at a time, while continuing to foster my creative love for the arts locally. I continued my dance education in college- teaching, choreographing, and attending classes at a community studio. College was also the beginning of my poetry and abstract painting experience. I later took all of the arts with me to Chicago, where I pursued a post-graduate education in Psychology. (This is where I would eventually see the opportunity to create my own path creatively and purposefully, and forego completion of my doctorate program in lieu of something more in line with the work I currently complete.)
A Blend of Psychology.
Throughout my life, I have always been an introspective deep thinker. This quality, my Christian faith and a desire to live purposefully led me into obtaining an educational background in psychology. (I currently have a Bachelor's in Psychology and Certifications in Holistic Life Coaching + Design Psychology.) More importantly, it positioned me for the business I have cultivated today.
The Final Product.
I use art (writing, painting, movement) as a way of exploring, navigating, and communicating my thoughts, feelings, and ideas. My life is vividly expressed through colors, textures, tempos, adjectives, and line.
The business you see in front of you today is the perfect blend of lifestyle, psychology, art, and the personal me. Within the Home Decor branch of BP Lifestyle + Design, I have cultivated a space for the artist (myself) and collector (you), to coexist within the finished product of a custom piece. It is my hope you will see something in the collection that speaks to you personally or inspires you to have a custom piece created for your life moment or space.
